Ladyboy Pattaya guide to cabaret, culture and the coast
On this page
A ladyboy Pattaya guide is mostly a guide to the stage. Pattaya is home to the two most famous cabaret theatres in Thailand, Tiffany's Show and Alcazar, and to the yearly Miss International Queen pageant. Around them is a seaside city with beaches, a long expat history and a sizeable trans community.
Pattaya sits on the Gulf of Thailand, about two hours by road from Bangkok. Many people know it only through its nightlife, but trans women in Pattaya work as performers, choreographers, makeup artists, hotel staff, shop owners and online creators. This page focuses on that side of the city, plus the practical things a visitor needs. For background on the culture, see Thai ladyboys.
Tiffany's Show and Alcazar
Tiffany's Show is one of the oldest cabaret productions in Thailand, running in Pattaya since the 1970s. Its large theatre presents song and dance numbers, elaborate costumes and themed scenes from many countries, performed by trans women. Our page on Tiffany's Show Pattaya explains how to visit.
Alcazar is the other great cabaret theatre in the city, with a similar mix of glamour, music and comedy. Both shows run several times each evening, welcome families and groups, and sell tickets through their official box offices and websites. Book directly to avoid marked up resellers.
Miss International Queen
Each year Pattaya hosts Miss International Queen, an international beauty pageant for transgender women organised by Tiffany's Show since 2004. Contestants come from many countries, and the event is broadcast and followed widely across Asia and Latin America. The organiser announces the dates, so check its official channels. Read more on our Miss International Queen page.

Beach Road and the city centre
Beach Road runs along Pattaya Bay with a long promenade, palm trees and sunset views. It is the busiest part of the city and the easiest place to orient yourself. Second Road, one street inland, has malls, restaurants and the main shared taxi routes. Walking the promenade in the early evening is a pleasant, simple way to get a feel for the city.
Jomtien
Jomtien, just south of the centre, is calmer and more residential, with a long beach, family run restaurants and many long stay residents. Part of the beach has been known for decades as an LGBT friendly stretch, where people gather by day for sun and conversation. If you prefer quiet evenings and a slower pace, Jomtien is often the better base.

Getting around
Baht buses (pickup trucks with benches) run loops along Beach Road and Second Road for a small fare. Ride hailing apps work well for longer trips, including Jomtien and the theatres. Motorbike rental is common but risky for newcomers, and insurance often does not cover riders without a valid licence.
Safety, and the no paid meetings rule
Pattaya is busy with tourists, so keep valuables secure, agree on prices before a ride and be careful with drinks in crowded places. Online, never send money to someone you have not met, and verify every match with a video call.
LadyBoy.net is a dating and community site for adults. Meetings are never paid, and any profile that offers paid company, escort services or similar arrangements is removed. If you see one, please report it. Our safety guide lists more tips.
Meeting respectfully in Pattaya
Treat a first date like any other. Choose a cafe or a seafront restaurant, talk about her life and interests, and let the evening go at her pace. Use she/her and her chosen name. Many women in Pattaya speak English well, and some also speak Russian, Chinese or German because of the city's international visitors.
